He was predeceased by: his parents, Cornelius DeWit and Johanna DeWit; his wife Norma Dykstra; and his granddaughters, Sarah Groninga and Mandy Kack.
He is survived by: his children, Ruth Santjer (David), Paula Neff, Ann Clarksean (DeLon) and Neal DeWit (Tonya); and his grandchildren, Amy Mahon (David), Bill Santjer (Brook), Joel Santjer (Katie), Mark Santjer (Kellie), Jennifer Groninga, Jonathon Groninga (Beth), Aaron Clarksean, Mike Kack, Becky Amundson (Ryan) and Jordan Clarksean (Kellen).
