She was predeceased by: her husband Frederick Carstens; her parents, Virgil C. Johnson and Mildred Alydia Johnson (Peterson); her brother Verlyn Johnson; and her in-laws, Grace and Alfred Carstens.
She is survived by: her sons, Jason Carstens (Staci) and Geff Carstens (Susanne); and her grandchildren, Brady Carstens, Riley Carstens (Angela Prokop), Will Weber and Ryan Siedschlag. She is also survived by her sisters and brothers-in-law, cousins, and numerous nieces and nephews.
