He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert Schanink and Mavis Schanink (Rogers); his daughter Mary Ketchum; and his parents-in-law, Peter and Cloydene Swentik.
He is survived by: his wife Jeanne; his daughter Geraldine Geiken (Kent); his niece Raelynn Swentik; his grandchildren, Megan Breithaupt (Brandon), Mitchell Geiken, Joshua Geiken (Johanna) and Melissa Feyereisn (Josh Ferch); his great grandchildren, Tate, Sophie, Eric, David and Zane; and his siblings, Janice Winnes (David) and Danny Schanink (Cindy). He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and in-laws.
