He was predeceased by: his parents, Melvin Bertle Johnson and Rose Elenore Johnson (Nelson); and his daughter-in-law Jeanne Johnson (Forss). He is survived by: his wife Betty Lu; his children, Becky Grote (DJ), Brent Johnson (Karen Sage), Jimmy Johnson and Dale Johnson (Lisa Maxwell); and his brother Bruce Johnson. He is also survived by five grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and many nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends.
Memorials are preferred to Saint Ansgar's Lutheran Church in Cannon Falls and Mayo Clinic Hospice.
