He is survived by: his wife Ann; his children, Carol Brown (Stuart), Mary Holbert (Les), James Manion (Sandy), Jeanne Howell (Guy), Cheryl Manion and William Manion; his grandchildren, Matthew Brown, Timothy Brown (Kelsey), Jeffrey Brown, Brittney Somera (Talon), Morgan Zimmerman (Garrett), Kelly Howell-Rouchka (Tom), Jack Howell, Natalie Howell and Megan Howell; and his great grandchildren, Mila Brown, Lucy Brown, Quinn Brown, Declan Somera and Nicholas Somera.
During his career he received several personal awards for his contributions to the Sea Lamprey Control Program with his research papers being cataloged in the Library of Congress.
