It is with sadness that the passing of Eleanor J. Yohnke of Carlos, Minnesota is shared. Eleanor, born on January 25, 1939, passed away on September 13, 2026. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Charles Schuneman and Clara Schuneman (Roth); her husband Dean Yohnke; her siblings, Harlan, Merle, George, Richard, Willis Schuneman and Dorothy Pederson; and her sister-in-law Irene Schuneman-Tvrdik.
She is survived by: her children, Nancy Collins (Lonny) of Osakis, Charles "Chuck" Yohnke (Sandy) of Carlos and Ronald "Fred" Yohnke (Donna) of Carlos; her grandchildren, Tim Collins (Rachel), Cory Collins (Cassie), Heather Frisell (Brent), Grant Yohnke (Micaela), Travis Yohnke (Lainey), Preston Yohnke and Spencer Yohnke; her stepgrandchildren, Tracy Clark (Peter), Jeff Wagner (Kristen) and Kim Mora (Mike); her great grandchildren, Gwendolyn, David, Dean, Daniel Collins, Edith, Eleanor, Josie, Mazie, Mara Collins, Brooke, Allison Frisell, Camden and Addison Yohnke; her stepgreat-grandchildren, Jaden Wagner, Liz Braun (Matt), Jacob Clark, Layla, Aubrey Wagner, Landon and Lilly Mora; her sisters-in-law, Lillian, Barb, Gloria Schuneman, Dorothy Yohnke and Janice Myhr (Luther); her close friends, Darwin, Darcy Brechbiel, Henry and Hazel Jones; and her pet Sully. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, September 20th 2026 from 3:00 PM to 6:00 PM and on Monday, September 21st 2026 at 10:00 AM at the Trinity Lutheran Church (16 N Douglas Ave, Carlos, MN 56319). A funeral service will be held on Monday, September 21st 2026 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
