She is survived by: her sons, Steven Ray Childress and Jason Thomas Childress; her husband Thomas Childress; her daughter-in-law Joan Childress; her granddaughters, Sarah and Julia Childress; her daughter-in-law Cindy Childress; her grandchildren, Megan Childress and Peyton Childress; her nieces, Tami Machtemes, Christy Dauner and Martha Golby; and her nephew Bobby Longfellow.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to Concordia Lutheran Church in San Antonio, TX.
