It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Rose Schmidt of Carlton, Minnesota, born in Duluth, Minnesota, who passed away on September 8, 2022, at the age of 94, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by : her parents, Rose Conito (Blotti) and Carl Conito; her husband Charles Schmidt; and her children, Susan Johnson and Chuck Schmidt.

She is survived by : her children, Debra Nesgoda (Gene Paul), Gina Gotelaere (Scott), Jill Hatfield (David), Stephanie Dunbar (Del), Jeffrey (Joan), Scott (Paula) and Greg Schmidt (Kerry Schroeder); and her sister Kate Kopari. She is also survived by 20 grandchildren; 32 great-grandchildren.
