We announce the death of Alvin Roy of Cass Lake, Minnesota, who passed away on September 24, 2026, at the age of 75. Alvin will be remembered by family members, friends, and others whose lives were connected in meaningful ways. He was loved and cherished by many people including: his mother Josephine Roy (Northbird); his significant other Sandra Jones Woodward; his father Morris Woodward (Josephine); his sons, Alvin Roy Jr., Matthew Roy (Kayla) and Lucas Woodward; and his siblings, Richard, Michael Roy, Leona Kmett, Marcy Sargent, Phyllis Johnson, Ruby Roy, Marilyn White Eagle and Karen Roy. He was also cherished by numerous nieces, nephews, 26 grandchildren, 19 great grandchildren, other relatives and many friends.
A wake will be held on Tuesday, September 29th 2026 at 6:00 PM at the Veterans Memorial Building (16599 69th Ave NW, Cass Lake, MN 56633). A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, September 30th 2026 at 1:00 PM and at 2:00 PM.
