He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, James "Gabo" Day and Delores Day (Butcher); his children, Jimmy, Jr. (JD), Delores (Dodie) and Curtis; his former wife Cindy; his siblings, Curtis, Bonnie, Margaret Smith, Iva Day, Diana Fisherman and Robert Day; his siblings' children, Robert Beaulieu, Dallas Smith and Elizabeth White; his son Christopher Thompson; his grandchildren, Daniel Olson, Brook Olson, Bayley Bluewolf and Curtis (CJ); and his siblings' children, Ken Smith, Sr., Jimmy Francis Day, Brian Day, Aaron Brown, Beverly Beaulieu, Bonnie Beaulieu (Joey), Rochelle Brown, Cheryl Brown and Adina Day.
A wake will be held on Thursday, October 16th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Cass Lake Facility Center (16126 John Moose Dr NW, Cass Lake, MN 56633). A funeral service will be held on Friday, October 17th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
