He was predeceased by : his parents, John Skeate and Maria Skeate; his wife Florence; his brother Thomas (Peggy); and his great grandchild Rosalie.

He is survived by : his sons, John (Sally), Paul (Connie) and Richard (Laurna); his grandchildren, Emily Virchow (Lucas), Tyler Skeate (Kayla), Alexander Skeate (Samantha), Cameron Skeate (Katie), Angelica Levercom (Jay Solem), Amanda Boss (Josh), Kenneth Levercom, Kaitlyn Johnson (Jake Snelling) and Sarah Jacobs; and his great grandchildren, Jade, Hailey, Cecelia, Sawyer, Rowan, Violet, Charlotte, Carson, Kaleb, Tyler, Ellianna, Faith, Samantha and Chloe.

Visitation was held on Tuesday, April 23rd 2024 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the St. Patrick Catholic Church (19921 Nightingale St NW, Oak Grove, MN 55011). A Mass of Christian burial was held on Tuesday, April 23rd 2024 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
