We announce the death of Laurene Nelson of Champlin, Minnesota, who passed away on October 21, 2026, at the age of 73. Laurene will be remembered by family members, friends, and others whose lives were connected in meaningful ways. She was predeceased by: her parents, Larry Miskowic and Joyce Miskowic; and her brother Daniel Miskowic. She is survived by: her husband Brad Nelson; her sons, Andrew MyHR (Nhorly), Adam Myhr (Heather) and Eric Nelson (Naomi); her grandchildren, Yasmin, Kelvin, Gideon, Cecilia, Ephraim, Echo and Thayne; and her siblings, Donna Brandell (Kim), Jill Heldt (Bob), Tony Miskowic (Patty Madden), David Miskowic (Becky), Karyn Massmann (Scott) and Sherri Schreckenghaust (Ron). She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, other loving family and friends.
Visitation will be held on Monday, October 26th 2026 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM and on Tuesday, October 27th 2026 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM. A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, October 27th 2026 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Zion Lutheran Church (1601 4th Ave, Anoka, MN 55303). A graveside service will be held on Tuesday, October 27th 2026 from 2:00 PM to 2:30 PM at the Champlin City Cemetery (812 Cartway Rd, Champlin, MN 55316).
