She was predeceased by: her parents, Marinus Rylaarsdam and Alice Rylaarsdam; her former husband Harold Van Dam; her children, Alan and Lisa; her grandchildren, Emily Van Dam and Derrek Runia; her brother Marv Rylaarsdam; her in-laws, Dolores Rylaarsdam, Bud Van Eck, Henry, Marie Van Dam, Donna Van Dam and Jim Van Dam; and her stepchildren, John Henry Groen Jr. and Jolene Groen.
She is survived by: her husband John Henry Groen; her children, Shela Lais Jeremy (Jeff), Abby Van Dam, Brayden Lais, Mark Katie (Paula), Jacob (Kaya), Joshua Van Dam, Amy Evan (Corwin), Daniel Runia, Curtis Carter (Kim) and Levi Van Dam; her in-laws, Cornie Rylaarsdam, Jan Van Eck, Verla Kreun (Bruce), Verlin Rylaarsdam (Kathy), Marv Van Dam, Connie Hacker, Albert Van Dam (Sandy) and Della Klassen (Aldon); her stepchildren, Jason Dylan (Kyle), Kaiden, Timothy Bronson-Groen, Julie Lincoln (Jim) and Madison Sherman; and her stepgrandchildren, Clarissa Wilson (Casey), Chelsey Kroll (Jon), Cassandra Walhof (Dylan) and Chantel Vis (Wesley). She is also survived by nieces, nephews, cousins, and many friends.
In Lieu of flowers, memorial gifts will be given to Southwest MN Christian School.
