Raymond Talsma Obituary

With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Raymond Talsma (Chandler, Minnesota), who passed away on May 25, 2025 at the age of 77. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Dick Talsma and Angie Talsma (Masselink); his sisters, Donna Van Dam and Delores Doyscher; his brothers-in-law, Dennis and Ken Post; and his nephews, Kevin, Paul Van Dam and Benjamin Wiersma.

He is survived by: his wife Sharon Post; his children, Katie Talsma of Black Mountain, NC, Kurt Talsma (Vonda) of Chandler, MN, Kris Talsma of Orange City, IA and Kyle Talsma (Tina) of Chandler, MN; his grandchildren, Bennett, Brooklyn, Blaire, Brynlee, Tenika, Kolby and Kipten; his siblings, Glen Talsma (Marcia), Diane Jurgensen (David), Dorothy Vander Ploeg (Verle), Roger Talsma (Pam), Darla Wieneke (Curt) and Denise Marquardt (Scott); his brothers-in-law, Marvin Van Dam and Pat Doyscher; and also, Harold Post (Everly), Joyce Wiersma (Claude), Larry Post (Roberta), Brian Post and Connie Post. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

Visitation was held on Thursday, May 29th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Chandler Christian Reformed Church (80 Carlton Ave, Chandler, MN 56122). A burial was held on Friday, May 30th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 10:30 AM at the Chandler Memorial Cemetery (476 MN-91, Chandler, MN 56122). A funeral service was held on Friday, May 30th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Chandler Christian Reformed Church (80 Carlton Ave, Chandler, MN 56122).
