He is survived by: his wife Kathleen; his sons, Matthew (Becki) of Foreston and Nathan of Chanhassen; his granddaughters, Isabella Thompson, Morgan Lewis, Izak Lundgren and Rose Hebert (Hayden); his siblings, Vernon Thompson of Ostrander, Arlys Terbeest (Larry) of Spring Valley and Gail Johnson (Dennis) of Stewartville; and his siblings-in-law, Marlys Thompson of Caledonia, Barb Thompson of Mankato and Dave Robb of Arizona. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
