He was predeceased by: his parents, Austin Carlson and Madonna Carlson (Hill); and his siblings, Kathleen Gjengdahl, James Carlson, Paul Carlson and Michael Carlson.
He is survived by: his wife Mary Boardman; his children, Michael Carlson (Lynn) of Eagan, Joseph Carlson of Apple Valley and Amy Carlson of Chaska; his granddaughters, Delaney and Makenna; and his siblings, Susan Dahl, Linda Schweikert and Thomas Carlson. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
A celebration of life was held on Thursday, October 2nd 2025 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Bertas Funeral Home (200 W 3rd St, Chaska, MN 55318). A prayer was held on Thursday, October 2nd 2025 at 6:00 PM at the same location.
