He was predeceased by: his parents, Romane Slettom and Adolph Slettom. He is survived by: his wife Donna; his children, Denise Slettom, Dawn Slettom, Chris Slettom (Laurie) and Angie Eley (Jim); his siblings, Conrad Slettom (Barb), Joyce Slettom and Mary Jean Hylden; his grandchildren, Jason Sorenson, Katelyn Kalkbrenner (Jake), James Byland (Shawna), Bradley Eley (Hope), Molly Eley (Josh), Haley Vanderwerff, Kylee Slettom and Austin Slettom; his great grandchildren, Lilah Kalkbrenner and Bridget Eley; and his pet Tobie.

Visitation was held on Friday, September 19th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Zion Lutheran Church (28005 Old Towne Rd, Chisago City, MN 55013). A celebration of life was held on Friday, September 19th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
