She was predeceased by: her grandparents, Al, Lorna Freer, Robert Nelson and Jean Johnson; and her father-in-law Richard John.
She is survived by: her children, Ferah John (Tay Taylor), Kiley Headley (Micah) and Joey Ryan; her pets, Hobbes, Ruby and Zoey; her parents, Jessica Benson (Dennis) and Greg Freer (Cheryl); and her siblings, Rebecca Intzempelis (Evripidis), Josh Benson (Rachel), Tom and Amber Borsch. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, extended family members, and dear friends.
In 2023, she received a Letter of Commendation from Commissioner Paul Schnell in recognition of her committed leadership and dedication during the COVID-19 pandemic.
