He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Melvin Birnbaum and Muriel Benjamin (Mickey); his wife Sharon Klaers Birnbaum; his children, Ben Birnbaum and Sarah Birnbaum; his grandsons, Jay Birnbaum and Leo Birnbaum; and his sisters, Arlene Birnbaum, Debra Waterstone and Lori Birnbaum.
