She is survived by: her husband Mel; her children, Merlin Ryks (Shirley) of Sioux Center, Kevin Ryks (Betty Strommer) of Roseland and Renae Epema (Terry) of Clara City; her grandchildren, Brady (Katie), Travis, Ryan, Brian (Elizabeth), Joshua (Claudia), Kailee (Trent), Justin (Elizabeth) and Brittney (Nicholas); and her sister Sandra Slagter of Grand Rapids. She is also survived by seventeen great grandchildren.
