Leroy left this world on August 1, 2025 at the age of 78, leaving a void in the lives of so many people. He was predeceased by: his wife Arlinda Bakken; and his grandson Jamison Thrun. He is survived by: his children, Shannon Thrun (Kelly) of Fairbanks, Alaska, Robby Thrun (Kelly) of Nome, Alaska and Scott Thrun (Jessica) of Pequot Lakes, Minnesota.; his grandchildren, Christian Thrun, Quinten Thrun, Chance Thrun (Elizabeth), Colten Thrun, Kayden Thrun, Natalie Thrun, Cirsten Thrun and Karley Thrun; his great grandchildren, Paisley Thrun and Charlie Nolan; his siblings, Jerry Thrun (Lavonne), Bob Anderson (Lori), Ivan Anderson and Rita Anderson (Rudy Krizak); and his pet Jack. He is also survived by family members and friends.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, August 13th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM and on Thursday, August 14th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM. A Mass of Christian burial was held on Thursday, August 14th 2025 at 12:00 PM at the St. Joseph's Catholic Church (105 John St S, Clarissa, MN 56440). A burial was held on Thursday, August 14th 2025 at the St. Joseph Cemetery.
