He was predeceased by: his parents, William Zimmerman and Susan Zimmerman; his brother Dale; and his brother-in-law Bob Sapp. He is survived by: his wife Lori; his sons, Jack and AJ (Bethann); his grandsons, William, Benjamin Zimmerman and Lincoln Christensen; his daughter-in-law Megan Zimmerman; his sisters, Dorothy Traxler (Gene), Joan Queen (Greg), Jane Sapp and Carrie Pfeiffer (John); and his siblings-in-law, Julie Wirth (Kelly) and Tim Schultz. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and many friends.
Visitation was held on Thursday, September 17th 2026 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM and on Friday, September 18th 2026 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Our Savior's Lutheran Church (305 6th St, Cleveland, MN 56017). A funeral service was held on Friday, September 18th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to Mark's family, who will honor his memory by making gifts to organizations that were meaningful to him.
