He is survived by: his wife Martha; his daughters, Bonnie Keppers (Jody) and Susan Larson (Mark); his grandsons, Axel Ferguson (Sasha), Spencer Ferguson, Paul Ferguson and Benjamin Keppers; his great grandchildren, William Ferguson and Odette Ferguson; his niece Mary Kluball; his nephew Ben Alm; and his brother Donald Alm.
He was on the Cloquet Library Board and served as chair; the Cloquet Educational Foundation; the Cloquet Hospital Board and the Hospital Foundation Board.
