He was predeceased by: his parents, William Matten and Edith Matten (Bandle); his wives, Ann and Carolyn; his brothers, Jim and Bill; his grandson Shawn; and his cousin Bud Bandle.
He is survived by: his children, Cheryl Peterson (Don), Allison Loucks (Steve), Eddy (Bob Gregory) and Lorelei Livesay (Jim); his stepchildren, Debbie Rose, Michael Rose (Heather), Marjori Bottila, John Bottila (Jodi) and Eric Bottila; his grandchildren, Joshua Loucks, Jennifer Jones, Claire Dickson, Kirstie Bickford, Jackson Peterson, Alex Livesay, Tara Livesay and Paris Matten; his great grandchildren, Jagr, Gaborik, Leila, Violet Jones, Isaiah, Kylie, Maisy, Aliya, Joshua, Mollie Dickson, Daniel and Robin Bickford; and his nephews, Jon Matten and David Matten.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, August 6th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Presbyterian Church of Cloquet (47 4th St, Cloquet, MN 55720). A memorial service will be held on Wednesday, August 6th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be sent to the AEOA Senior Center, 1100 Olympic Drive, Cloquet, Minnesota, 55720.
