He is survived by: his children, Adam Thompson (Amy), Mel Barney (Janelle), Joey Barney (Rachel), Danny Barney, Brady Barney and Arlene Thompson; and his siblings, Nancy Seppala of Duluth, Gail Thompson and Bruce Thompson of Cloquet. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and friends.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, October 14th 2026 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Nelson Funeral Care (1004 Cloquet Ave, Cloquet, MN 55720). A memorial service will be held on Wednesday, October 14th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
