We bid farewell to Douglas L. Niesen of Cloquet, Minnesota, born in Scanlon, Minnesota, whose journey of life gracefully concluded on November 24, 2025 at the age of 86. Douglas touched countless lives with warmth and kindness, leaving behind cherished memories that will forever echo in hearts. He was predeceased by: his parents, Lawrence Niesen and Margaret Niesen (Otten); his siblings, Nita Mauna (Roger), Rod Niesen (Bev), Ted Niesen (Judy) and Robert Niesen; and his siblings-in-law, Charles Sedlander, Barbara Stahlbusch, Jerry Anderson and Fred Anderson.
He is survived by: his wife Janet Anderson; his daughters, Dawn Spanie (Steve) and Lisa Niesen; his sister Karen Sedlander; and his siblings-in-law, Lois Anderson, Bonnie Anderson, Dick Anderson (Winnie) and Ed Stahlbusch. He is also survived by two grandchildren; two great-grandchildren.
