He was predeceased by: his parents, Merton Wiersma and Evina Wiersma (Uhden). He is survived by: his wife Thera (Gunderson); his sons, Heath (Kristin), Eric and Lucas (Gene); his grandchildren, Kiara, Kylee, Scarlett, Landon, Maassen, Maverick, Severus, Destiny and Khalalah; his great grandchild Taylor; and his siblings, Richard (Josie), Esther, Marilyn (Mike) and Beverly. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
A masonic service will be held on Friday, June 6th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Nelson Funeral Care (1004 Cloquet Ave, Cloquet, MN 55720). Visitation will be held on Friday, June 6th 2025 at 12:30 PM at the Our Saviors Lutheran Church (612 12th St, Cloquet, MN 55720). A memorial service will be held on Friday, June 6th 2025 at 1:30 PM at the same location. A burial will be held on Monday, June 9th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 10:30 AM at the Minnesota State Veterans Cemetery-Duluth (4777 US-53, Saginaw, MN 55779).
