He was predeceased by : his parents, Francis Singpiel and Mae Singpiel (Peterson); his son Curt Singpiel; his brother Wayne Singpiel; and his brother-in-law Myron Perttula.

He is survived by : his wife Mavis Pykkonen; his son Scott Singpiel; his daughter-in-law Leigh Singpiel; his grandchildren, Cade, Blake and Dane Singpiel; his sister Carol Perttula; and his pet Mindy. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.

Memorials are preferred to the Scheidler Scholarship Foundation.
