He was predeceased by : his parents, Helen Sanda and Toivo Sanda; and his siblings, Julie Dennison, Peter and David.

He is survived by : his sisters, Nancy Johnson (Garth), Mary Tschida (Rob), Rose Herstad (Wayne) and Sheila Depre (Keith); his wife Judith Sanda; his children, Aaron, Luke, Jacob (Emily Green), Patrick and Rachel Plinski (Dustin); and his grandson Milo Toivo Plinski.
