He was predeceased by: his parents, Gustave Obst and Eleanor Obst (Kewley); his daughter Caree Maniekee; and his sister Gloria Nangle. He is survived by: his wife Cher; his children, David Obst (Margaret), Keith Obst (Sharon), Dean Obst and Eleanor Falk (Eric); his son-in-law Darrin Belich; and his nephews, Richard Nangle (Joy) and Mark Nangle. He is also survived by many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
