He was predeceased by: his parents, Edwin J. Maki and Sadie Maki (Tapio); and his sister-in-law Lorraine Makinen. He is survived by: his wife Almeda; his son Larry; his siblings, Vivian Sherer, Mildred Cooper and Russell; his children, James Maki (Jan), Debra DeGuiseppi (Daniel) and Douglas Maki (Susan); and his brothers, Rayno Maki (Maxine) and Kenny Maki (Norma). He is also survived by seven grandchildren, twenty-one great grandchildren; two great great grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, October 22nd 2025 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at the Triumphant Life Church (1307 Co Rd 440, Bovey, MN 55709). A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, October 22nd 2025 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
