He was predeceased by: his parents, Kathleen Mary Aspinwall (DeForge) and Theodore Aspinwall; and his brothers, Keith and James. He is survived by: his wife Carrie Lynn Day; his children, Richard John Aspinwall (Darian Bellanger), Theodore Anthony Day Aspinwall and Kathleen Gilbertson (Cassie Kirschner); his grandchildren, Sequoia, Richard Douglas III and John Henry; his siblings, Elizabeth "Becky" Spengley, John Bernard Aspinwall (Dawn), Mark Anthony Aspinwall (Wendy), Scott Allen Aspinwall (Lisa) and Sally A. (Brian Guy); and his friends, Curtis Schwegel and Dan Murray. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, extended family members, and friends.
