He was predeceased by: his parents, Michael Windschitl and Mathilda Windschitl (Sellner); his wife Esther Hoffman; his daughters, Marie Windschitl and Monica Anderson; and his sisters, Phyllis Wersal, Doris Windschitl and Glady Homan.
He is survived by: his sons, Roman Windschitl of Mankato and Leon Windschitl (Denise) of Worthington; his son-in-law Tim Anderson of Comfrey; his grandchildren, Ashley Anderson (Justin), Nikki Van't Hof (Kent) and Dakota Anderson; his great grandchildren, Aubrey Anderson, Ellie Anderson, Baylor Van't Hof and Makenna Van't Hof; and his brother Wally Windschitl. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews; and other loving relatives and friends.
Throughout his lifetime, he helped save lives by donating nearly 19 gallons of blood with the American Red Cross.
