She was predeceased by: her husband Roger; her son Kirk; her son-in-law Todd; her brother John; her parents, Lydia and William; and her stepfather Wallace.

She is survived by: her daughter Kandi; and her grandchildren, Tate, Nicole and Victoria.

Upon Sylvia's passing, she made one final, meaningful contribution through her decision to donate her body and organs to science.
