He was predeceased by: his parents, Cathryn Marie Gulden and Cleo Clifford Philippi; his adoptive father Jrwin A. Kastanek; his aunts and uncles, Leroy Gulden, Richard Wilkes, Laurence Janski, Jack Peterson, Richard West, Melvina Kastanek Janski, Jerrine Philippi West and Bonnie Philippi Peterson; and his brother-in-law Jim Cholensky, Jr..
He is survived by: his wife Linda Lund; his sisters, Colleen Kastanek and Charlotte Gruber (Dan); his children, John Kastanek (Jana) and Andrianna Kastanek (Chris Buzachero); his stepdaughter Stacie Urban (Peter); his grandchildren, Jakob, Mitchell, Laura, Camille Kastanek, Luca, Emilia, Nicolas Buzachero, Delaney Janssen (Jeremy) and Liam Urban; his nieces and nephews, Ligeia, Stephanie Cholensky, Nick Gruber (Anna) and Tammy Becker (Travis); his aunts, Leora Gulden Wilkes and MaryAnn Hoheisel Gulden; and his former wives, Deborah Lind and Susan Stuckmayer.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, May 6th 2025 from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Shelley-Virnig Funeral Chapel of Pierz (202 Main St S, Pierz, MN 56364). A funeral Mass will be held on Tuesday, May 6th 2025 at 11:30 AM at the St. Joseph's Catholic Church (68 Main St S, Pierz, MN 56364).
In Lieu of Flowers, Memorials are Preferred to EAA (Experimental Aircraft Association).
