It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Betty Jo Nelson of Coon Rapids, Minnesota, who passed away on October 19, 2025, at the age of 77, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, John Barsy and Thelma Barsy; and her siblings, Kenneth, Judy, Robert and Dale.
She is survived by: her husband Duane Nelson; her children, Anthony Nelson (Mandy), Jonathan Nelson (Lindsey) and Rebecca Folstrom (Kurt); her grandchildren, Dustin (April), Brenden, Hannah, Luke, Holden and Hartley; and her pets, Millie, Lilly and Rosie. She is also survived by other relatives and friends.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, November 15th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the Gearhart Funeral Home (11275 Foley Blvd NW, Coon Rapids, MN 55448). A memorial service will be held on Saturday, November 15th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
