It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Gerald Wielenberg of Coon Rapids, Minnesota, who passed away on January 18, 2026, at the age of 83, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Edwin Wielenberg and Cornelia Wielenberg (Hinnenkamp); his wife Mary Wielenberg; his stepmother Gertrude Wielenberg; his siblings, Ronald Wielenberg and Eileen Wielenberg; and his siblings-in-law, Robert Wallgren, Bernerd Smith, Randy Smith and Carol Mohrmann.
He is survived by: his children, Rosie Wielenberg, Ehren Wielenberg and Elizabeth Peterson (Dan); his granddaughters, Ruby Nevarez Wielenberg, Francesca Nevarez Wielenberg and Ava Peterson; and his siblings, Bernard Wielenberg (Judy), Sharon Bartels (John), Carol Miller (Steven) and Janet Wallgren. He is also survived by other loving relatives and friends.
In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred to the Epiphany Hospitality Service (emergency groceries for parishioners).
