She was predeceased by: her parents, John Evjen and Olga Evjen; her siblings, Norris Evjen and Ardis Menking (Francis); and her sister-in-law Marlene Kakaliouras (Ted).

She is survived by: her husband Bruce; her children, Susan Skeie, Nancy Skeie, Pamela Ulrich (Scott) and Michael Skeie (Krista); her grandsons, Steven (April) and David Ulrich (Jessica); her children, Lindsay Speca (Steven), Joseph Biggio, Paige Miller (Nicholas), Amanda McCann (Connor) and Jack Skeie; her great grandchildren, Nicholas and Abbey Ulrich; and her grandchildren, Olivia, Sloane, Ellie, Jack Speca, Henry, Charlie Ulrich and Corinne Miller.

The family suggests that contributions be made to the Disabled American Veterans in memory of Joan Skeie.
