It is with sadness that the passing of Vernon Joseph Bauer (Coon Rapids, Minnesota) is shared. Vernon, born on August 11, 1933 in Mitchell, South Dakota, passed away on October 26, 2026. He was predeceased by: his parents, Gerald and Bertha; and his siblings, Harlyn, Dale, Marvel, Carol, Karen and Bonnie.
He is survived by: his wife Catherine "Kay"; his sons, Jeff (Stef) and Terry (Sheri); his grandchildren, Halie, Alex, Wesley, Cole, Ethan and Madden; his great grandchild Owen; and his siblings, Beverly and Richard of South Dakota. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Friday, November 6th 2026 from 9:30 AM to 10:30 AM at the Church of the Epiphany (11001 Hanson Blvd NW, Coon Rapids, MN 55433). A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Friday, November 6th 2026 from 10:30 AM to 11:30 AM at the same location. A burial will be held on Wednesday, November 18th 2026 at 9:30 AM at the Fort Snelling National Cemetery.
