He was predeceased by: his parents, Nellie Windey (Jennen) and Henry Windey; and his siblings, Donald, Joseph, Marlys and Connie.
He is survived by: his wife Sharon Knutson; his children, Laura Windey, Tim Windey (Kathy) and Lisa; and his grandchildren, Krista Huska (Tim), Steven Roering (Paige), Alyssa Deo (Zach) and Angela Tschida (Taylor).
Visitation will be held on Saturday, October 24th 2026 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Wulff Woodbury Funeral Home (2195 Woodlane Dr, Woodbury, MN 55125). A memorial service will be held on Saturday, October 24th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital or to the American Heart Association.
