She was predeceased by: her parents, Anthony Strobel and Aquina Strobel; and her husband Walter Hanson. She is survived by: her children, Barbara Slonaker (Dick), Deborah Bushinski (Ken), Stephen (Eron), David (Nancy) and Peter (Bonnie); her grandchildren, Leda, Nicholas, Jeana, Karly (Troy), Alex (Jen), Andy (Avonlea), Tyler (Olivia), Sara, Anna (Zach), Joshua (Kirsten) and Matthew; and her great grandchildren, Evelyn, Broderick, Brie, Everett, Tristan and Morgan. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews and friends.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that any memorials given in memory of Shirley would go to the Church of St. Rita in Cottage Grove, MN.
