He is survived by: his wife Rhoda Meschke (Laechelt); his son Jeff Schmidt (India); his grandchildren, Easton and Jaela; his son James Schmidt (Melanie Handeland); his granddaughter Grace; his son Jon Schmidt (Alicia); his grandchildren, Breckin and Briggs; his daughter Tami Lange (Nathan); his grandchildren, Mya, Kace and McKyla; and his siblings, Keith Schmidt (Bonnie) of Winsted, Larry Schmidt (Linda) of Tacoma, WA, Bonnie Morey (Doug) of Olympia, WA, Susan Nordquist (Mike) of Missoula, MT, Brad Schmidt (Pat) of Casa Grande, AZ, Greg Schmidt (Melinda) of Wood Lake and Julie Schlenner (Ron) of Clarkfield. He is also survived by many other relatives and friends.
