He was predeceased by : his father Curtis Parkin; his nephew Ian Hopfauf; and his grandparents, Herman, Marie Otto, Loren, Gertrude Parkin, Clarion and Florence Rudnik.

He is survived by : his mother LeeAnn Parkin (Otto); his adoptive father Ralph; his former life partner Maggie Duckworth; his fiancée Tiffany Sterry; his partner's children, Jazmyn and Olivia; his children, Landen Duckworth-Rudnik and Arlie Rudnik of Crookston; his siblings, Rachael Kangesier (Rich) of Crookston, Jonathan Rudnik (Keri) of Gonvick, MN, Alex Rudnik (Sarah) of Gentilly, MN and Tyler Rudnik (Brittanie) of Crookston; his nieces and nephews, Spencer Hopfauf, Gus, Mabel, Wallace Kangesier, Leo, Greta, Hank, Waylon Rudnik, Charlotte and Annabelle Rudnik; and also, Ralph Rudnik and Tammy Parkin of Crookston. He is also survived by extended family; and many, many friends.

In lieu of flowers memorials may be given to the family to be distributed evenly among the causes that were near and dear to Eric's heart.
