It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Jean Doda of Crookston, Minnesota, who passed away on October 16, 2025, at the age of 84, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Julian Sweningson and Yvonne Emard Sweningson; her son David Doda; her brother Keith Sweningson; her parents-in-law, Michael and Freda Doda; and her brother-in-law Jerry Doda.
She is survived by: her husband Donald Doda; her sons, Mitchell Doda (Deanne) of Crookston, MN, Mark Doda (Nancy) of Fargo, ND, Daniel Doda (Diane) of Duluth, MN and Jason Doda (BreezeLynn Lund) of Crookston, MN; her grandchildren, Kelly Doda, Sara Swenson (Leif), Lauren Doda (Bradley Bartkowiak), Benjamin Doda (Elizabeth Runde), Molly Doda, Rose Doda, Joseph Doda, Jack Doda and Jacob Doda; her great grandchildren, Vincent Bradley Bartkowiak and Vivian Jean Bartkowiak; and her brother Bruce Sweningson (Cindy) of Ventura, CA..
Visitation will be held on Thursday, October 23rd 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Cathedral of the Immaculate Conception (702 Summit Ave N, Crookston, MN 56716). A prayer will be held on Thursday, October 23rd 2025 from 7:00 PM to 7:30 PM at the same location. A funeral service will be held on Friday, October 24th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the same location. A burial will be held on Friday, October 24th 2025 at 3:00 PM at the Calvary Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Cathedral of the Immaculate Conception, Catholic Daughters, or Care and Share of Crookston.
