She was predeceased by: her parents, Edward Korynta and Isabel Korynta (Schultz); her husband Wilbur Sperling; her son Jason Sperling; her siblings, Roseanna Johnson (Art), Lucy Berdahl, Karen Nelson and Michael Korynta; her great grandchild Shayla Helm; and her siblings-in-law, Louie Sperling, Peter Wild, Betty, Dick Ellefson, Ray, Marlys Hudson, Jeanette Forness, Clarice Davis and Marie Leiseth.
She is survived by: her sons, Mark Sperling (Bonnie) of Wadena, MN, Shane Sperling (Dee) of Crookston, MN and Jeff Sperling (ReNae) of Crookston, MN; her grandchildren, Nicole, Justin, Chad, Natalie, Joshua, Matthew, Nadine, Heidi, Heather, Nerissa and Christopher; her siblings, Adrienne Moe of Kirkland, WA, Duane Korynta (Judy) of Park River, ND, Julene Anderson (Keith) of Park River, ND and Keith Korynta of Grand Forks, ND; and her siblings-in-law, Eileen Wild of Fargo, ND, Arvid Leiseth of Sioux Falls, SD and Don Forness (Gloria) of Fargo, ND. She is also survived by sixteen great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, June 17th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Stenshoel-Houske Funeral & Cremation Service (615 S Minnesota St, Crookston, MN 56716). A memorial service will be held on Tuesday, June 17th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location. The inurnment will be held on Tuesday, June 17th 2025 at 1:30 PM at the Memorial Park North Cemetery (1003 N 23rd St, Grand Forks, ND 58203).
She was an active member of the American Cancer Society, serving as Vice President for one year.
