It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Myra Schmieg (Crookston, Minnesota), who passed away on July 22, 2025, at the age of 83, leaving to mourn family and friends. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Myra Schmieg to pay them a last tribute.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Leonard Schmieg and Myra Jean Schmieg (Radermacher); and her brother Charles. She is survived by: her siblings, Elaine Schmieg, Jean Kirchberg (Marvin), Gerald Schmieg (Melba), Mary Wersch (Bill), Theresa Kluxdal (Dale), Thomas Schmieg (Barb), Susan Stengel (Tim), Leonard Jr. Schmieg and Mike Schmieg (Theresa).
A prayer will be held on Monday, August 4th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Sacred Heart Chapel, Mount Saint (620 Summit Ave N, Crookston, MN 56716). A Mass will be held on Monday, August 4th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
Over the years, she has also served on hospital boards in Browerville, Red Lake Falls, and the Villa/The Summit in Crookston and the Boards of Care and Share and the Catholic Community Foundation.
