He is survived by: his wife Marilyn Flateland; his children, Christopher Flateland, Stephanie Deziel (Elijah) and Megan Tresp (Per Kristian); and his sisters, Belinda Dunrud (Dan) of Badger, MN, Teri Black of Texas, Penny Berger of Crookston, MN, Julie Nichols of Texas and Kellie Escobar of Missouri.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, December 16th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the St. Paul's Lutheran Church (1214 University Ave, Crookston, MN 56716). A memorial service will be held on Tuesday, December 16th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
