He is survived by: his children, Vint Gaard-Johnson (Audrey) of St. Paul and Shelley Midthun (Cal) of Crosby; his brother Lynden Johnson of Little Falls; his grandchildren, Eric Johnson (Anya), Cole Midthun (Madison), Megan Caple (Wes), Karl Johnson (Paige Anderson) and Tanner Midthun (Kaitlin Donato); and his great grandchildren, Avery Johnson and Chase Caple. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
