He was predeceased by: his parents, Benedict Volz and Mary Volz; and his nephew Jason Ridl. He is survived by: his children, Jamie Penkert, Travis Volz (Cara Hanson) and Kristen Haala (Joe Haala); his wife Marcia Seibert-Volz; his stepchildren, Jamie Pelzel (Jodi), Jill Pelzel Grejtak (Joel), Jessica Otto (Zach) and Erin Fasbender (Kent); and his siblings, Linda Ridl (Charles), Joe Volz (Terry), Theresa Wager, Steven Volz (Mary), Lisa Madson (Thomas) and Ronald Guggisberg. He is also survived by grandchildren and step-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to support pancreatic cancer research in his honor.
