We announce the death of Carol Marie Hanson of Dalton, Minnesota, who passed away on June 3, 2026, at the age of 71. Carol will be remembered by family members, friends, and others whose lives were connected in meaningful ways. She was predeceased by: her parents, Selvin O. Richter and Margaret Richter; her husband Mark Hanson; her brother David Richter; her father-in-law Arlo Hanson; her siblings-in-law, Susan Olson and Lon Hanson; her nephew Matthew VanWatermulen; and her goddaughter Cynthia Kubitz.
She is survived by: her children, Stephanie Lunde (Jay) and Michael Hanson (Carmen); her grandchildren, Braden and Ava Lunde; her close friend Charlie Westfall; her brother Selvin Richter (Shirley); her mother-in-law LeVonne Hanson; and her siblings-in-law, Barb Richter, Susan Hanson, Myrna VanWatermulen (Jim), Elizabeth Nelson (Chad) and John Olson. She is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews and friends.
In lieu of flowers memorials are preferred to The Naz, Arise Church in Aberdeen, SD or a charity of your choice.
